LILY AKC REG. BLACK AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL (22LBS) half sister to JoJo. She is known for being spunky and loves to run around the yard and play for hours.. She is a wonderful mom and Teddy was her dad.
Hello, My name is Dawn Harland and I would like to tell you a little bit about my family and why we raise these loving puppies. I have 4 children Andrew -18, Kyle - 14, Katelynn - 10, and Emma- 7. Raising puppies is my loving hobby I share with my children. I had my first litter of cockapoo puppies with our beloved Lacy (Andrew's Guardian Angel) 17 years ago. We purchased her from my father who at the time was raising puppies from a couple females. At 4 weeks she came home with us and not much bigger than our hand. my son Andrew was 1 and this would be his first pet. And soon his bath buddy ( she would jump in the tub every chance she could get.) Over the years we have had more children and 1 or 2 litters of puppies a year. we retired Lacy several years ago and she passed during spaying. We are greatly saddened and will miss her forever.Teddy (her son) we kept out of her litters has passed on now as well. We miss them both every day. Jo and Lily joined our family as new puppies, these are Teddy's daughters and the mirror image of their grandmother and father. We are excited to have Patches added to our family last fall as he is lacy's close relative and has all her great attributes that make our cocker babies sooo wondeful. This past winter Charlie (Jo jo's boy)stole our hearts as a new baby and took his forever place here with us and was followed by Ceaser a wondeful find that also is a great boy. This is our cocker family. Now for our standard story. About 6 years ago we had a chance to get a couple standard poodles, they were something I had always wanted and thought how different can they be from our beloved cockers. Well we learned very quickly that all food needed to be behind closed doors, garbage needed a lid, and well our childrens toys were now chew toys for our 2 BIG girls.. they were quite busy but we loved them and thought with time things would relax and they would become lazy. Well now i wouldn't trade them in for anything. Grace is our big baby at 70 + pounds basically just our house pet and aunt when the puppies come. We haven't had a litter with her . Joy is just about 40 pounds. She loves being a mom and has produced standard poodle and standard cockapoo litters. Annie is Joy's daughter and quite the character. All of our dogs are in our home or kenneled outside weather permitting. They are all gentle with no aggression. We believe raising puppies in the home makes them more socialized and well adjusted. All puppies are so calm due to being in the path of daily life. we have loud children running by cages, daily handling, and not even scared of a vacuum. We advertise at about 3 weeks to get homes as quick as possible and allow new families to bond with puppy over the period of weeks before they can go(open-door policy). This also allows new families to get home and items ready for the new member. The puppies have a series of wormings before the vet. At 6 weeks we are off to the well check at the vet. They are checked from head to toe and weighed, get first shot and 1 more worming with vet strength wormer if seen to be needed. A health certificate will be given for each puppy. We have what I call the( "no grass guarantee") all puppies are not allowed out doors until they have had 2 puppy shots. This way diseases and parasites such as fleas and ticks wont hurt the puppy. Potty training begins for all puppies here after 2nd shot.. We keep shots current and keep all puppies until placed. Our puppies deserve the best and that is a forever family. Thank You for your interest in our babies and hope you find them as cute and cuddly as we do. Enjoy the pictures and best regards
Dawn Harland and family

PATCHES AKC REG. BLK/WH/TAN AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL (25 LBS) I fell for him the minute i saw him at my friends home. She purchased him from a breeder as an adult for her program. I had an attachment to his eyes. Something about those eyes..Well she got out the pedigree and he was half of my beloved Lacy's pedigree.(Which also was part of my sisters breeding line some years back. I told her to name her price, he was going home with me.. She smiled and agreed I needed him worse than she... THANK YOU SARAH
CHARLIE AKC REG. CHOCOLATE AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL (25 LBS)
Charlie was a keeper from the day of birth from dear Jojo. He was the cuddle bug for mom. when I would do the puppy count I would always find him under mommies ear.. It was a bond that was solid as he grew bigger her ear grew smaller but still would lay by her head.or on it..lol as he has grown the bond has weakened but not with his human mommy.. he is a wonderful boy. His dad was a chocolate
CEASER AKC REG., APR REG. CHOCOLATE /WHITE AMERICAN COCKER SPANIEL (30LBS) RETIRED
He came to me as a very sick, thin, boy who didn't know the human touch..He stoled my heart. I wasn't going to leave him and actually brought another boy home as well in much worse shape. That baby boy was to ill to be saved and passed a few weeks later . Ceasar is concidered my rescue story from the worst of circumstances. It wasn't until an accidental slip off an icy dog house this winter that would make him turn an anxious corner to happiness. I discovered one morning he was dragging his back half, I rushed him to the vet to discover the news of slipped discs that could cause permanent paralysis. after some tears and not good odds the vet and i decided before we put him to sleep we would give him 1 week to get him on his feet.I knew how shy he was and had never been house trained but i'm a fighter and with pain meds and some TLC i knew Ceasar and I would meet in a middle ground. Well Back on feet in 5 days and learned to love me as much as i loved him from the first day I seen his sad sad face. Ceasar is about 85 % better and has full use of legs but has difficulty with stairs. And best of all LOVES AND TRUSTS ME AND MY FAMILY.
